Assignment, Module 4

I completely misjudged how long this would take me. I planned out a few pages, and then the perfectionist in me made me spend 4 hours on this one page. I will probably finish the other pages later.
This is part of a story I've been playing around with in my head for a few years now, but I find Cecile very easy to draw so I focused on her for this project in hope that I could finish this faster.
I will probably go back and edit this too, there's a few things that are nagging at me to fix.

Discussion, Module 4

Sorry this is a bit late, I've been sick all week.
I recommend that you click on some of these to be able to read the text

These are from Lackadaisy Cats by Tracy Butler
I absolutely love this artist's character's facial expressions and the way her panels flow together.

These are from Hanna is Not a Boy's Name by Tessa Stone
The thing I love most about this comic is the paneling, it's like nothing I've ever seen and is so dynamic.

These are from Rice Boy by Evan Dahm
The thing I love about his work is how much he just lets his drawings tell the story, and when dialogue does come into play it flows just as easily as his art. His visuals are so imaginative, and his characters are so striking and memorable.

Journal, Module 3

Here are a couple other ideas I had for my self portrait.

Assignment, Module 3

Done in prismacolor markers
Something I'm working on for my art class at school. I'm not sure what I want to do with the background yet.

Discussion, Module 3

Some artists whose work in color I really admire.

I love this artists work in watercolor and the way she makes her color combinations look so easy and colorful, but they still hold the picture together in a single mood.

I love this artist's use of a limited pallet. The top right and bottom images use only a few colors, but she  uses them skillfully to make the bright blues pop.

This artist is a favorite of mine, not just for her beautiful use of color, particularly compliments in these pictures, but her adorable unique style. The style of her characters and the playful colors make her pictures seem like something from a children's book.
